Glastonbury 2015

Building on a six year relationship with BBC Music Digital – The Department worked again with BBC teams to produce the digital content for Glastonbury Festival.

After the previous two years successes of streaming 6 stages via Satellite, this year was the first to send all content back from the festival over IP (the internet!). A technological first on this scale, and a brave route to take, but the audience figures scream success – with an all time record weekly reach of 3.2m Unique Browsers online as well as the weekly Mobile viewing going over the one million mark for the first time. Clips on YouTube totalled 1.1m Global views over the weekend.

The Department logistically managed Social media output, Photographers, Film crews and a larger edit and technical team both on the Festival Site and in a hub based back in London.
